England soccer star Frank Lampard's "very amicable split" with Elen Rives has turned sour after she walked out of their £3million home with their two daughters.

Elen, 30, quit after a row with the Chelsea midfielder last weekend and moved into a nearby West London hotel. The couple, together since 2001, announced their breakup three weeks ago but had lived together as Elen looked for a new home.
A friend of Elen said: "They were trying to stay in the same house to minimise disruption for their girls but last weekend Elen said she could no longer stay under the same roof as him."

Lampard was caught cheating in 2006 with blonde racing driver Montserrat Lucas and in 2007 he was seen taking a dark-haired woman to his room during a "boys only" trip to Las Vegas. At the time, Elen was furious but she later agreed to take him back.

They finally agreed to split up last November, saying when the news broke that it was "very amicable" and did not involve any third parties.
